From Amritsar to Delhi: Academic Grounding and Early Dreams

Born on 13th October 2002 in the Punjab state of Amritsar, Aneet Padda comes from a conventional middle class family. She demonstrated an interest in telling stories from an early age, whether that involved acting out 10-minute dramatic monologues in the comfort of her family living room or borrowing dresses from her mother's wardrobe to make homemade sarees using dupattas.
Although her childhood was filled with a passion for acting, Aneet focused primarily on achieving excellent academic success. After finishing her school education from Spring Dale Senior School in Amritsar, she traveled to the country's capital, New Delhi, to enroll herself in the well-renowned Jesus and Mary College of Delhi University, which provided her with a bachelors' degree in political science along with a minor degree in English.

Her love for the entertainment industry struck her in her college years while studying in Delhi. To manage her educational pursuits, she started appearing in auditions of advertisement commercials. This led her to be casted in some popular national advertisements for brands like Cadbury Dairy Milk, Nescafé, and Paytm.

The Saiyaara Phenomenon: Blockbuster Bollywood Debut

Whereas Big Girls Don’t Cry helped establish her as a face on streaming services, her 2025 romantic drama Saiyaara made her a household name across India.
Carefully chosen by director Mohit Suri and then promoted under YRF’s Talent Management division—the company responsible for the success stories of Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma amongst others—Padda featured in the lead role of Vaani Batra alongside debutant Ahaan Panday. As an artist dealing with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease, she was highly commended for her understated acting ability.

One-Day Box Office Success Story: Although there wasn’t much promotion prior to the film’s release, Saiyaara surprised everyone with its box office numbers by collecting over ₹100 crores in a span of just four days of its release.
